Paperless Automated Field Work Management at North Carolina DOT - A Case Study

The North Carolina Department of Transportation automated the process used to manage fieldwork for the collection of traffic counts. Their new system replaces all paper used in the field and automates many manual tasks, manages data collection in a high productivity environment, and eliminates many sources of error through automation. This truly paperless solution manages all aspects of scheduling, collecting, and capturing traffic count data in an efficient manner.

This presentation is delivered by Jamie Viera, the Traffic Analysis Supervisor for the North Carolina DOT Traffic Survey Group.
