Transportation Asset Management System

(TAMS)

MS2 Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS) supports detailed tracking of equipment and configurations associated with traffic count locations. The web-based solution is designed to simplify management of the many assets required to monitor traffic in the field. In addition, it provides not only the ability to itemize equipment located at a site but also supports relationships between individual pieces of equipment. Items can be identified easily by their enclosure or the sensors associated with the counter.

In addition to the equipment and site properties that are standard with TAMS, users can create custom templates containing user-defined properties. In the case of critical equipment such as counters, this can extend to configuration information specific to a given manufacturer or model. Users can search for all of the batteries in the field needing replacement or all of the counters requiring a bios update.

Associating costing information with equipment opens up the possibility of performing cost comparison analysis by site or types of equipment. For clients with a Work Order Tracking System license, this type of analysis includes labor and consumables costs.
