Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We're building the next generation of Transportation Data Management Systems and we need your help! We need an experienced quality assurance engineer to help establish a robust software test process. A process to ensure our project requirements are accurate and testable and that the software we deliver meets those requirements.

We're a small team and you'll have an opportunity to make a big impact.


  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
  • Work with developers and product managers to identify requirements
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies


  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience


  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing
  • Working with large data sets
  • Unit Testing
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Google Maps or ESRI
  • Git / GitHub

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
